Allen Solly plans new retail identity

It has recently changed overall look of its eight top stores in Bangalore, Pune, New?Delhi and Mumbai

Madura Fashions promoted menswear brand Allen Solly, the brand that had made the concept of ‘Friday dressing is in the process of new retail identity.

It has recently changed overall look of its eight top stores in Bangalore, Pune, New Delhi and Mumbai. Allen Solly is also launching additional 20 stores across India totalling up to 160 stores. Each store will attract an average spend of Rs 30-40 lakh.

Commenting on this development, Sooraj Bhat, Brand Head – Allen Solly said, We currently have six stores and are actively looking at more options for widening our distribution. The consumer in Pune is young, cosmopolitan and very global in their outlook. They are well travelled and understand fashion very well. We have been aggressively investing in Pune and have lined up some very exciting plans,”

 

He added, "The brand has been performing very well over the years. Allen Solly dominates the work-casuals category and has maintained a CAGR of almost 30 per cent over the last three years. The brand has set itself a very aggressive target for the next three years, be it in terms of revenue or distribution. Emphasis will clearly be on a segmented approach w.r.t distribution – large format exclusive stores and key accounts for key metros and cities and smaller sized stores for the next level of cities. Allen Solly plans to have 150 exclusive stores by FY13 and double that number by FY 16."

Along with men apparels, significant emphasis will be laid on strengthening its menswear business and also infusing fashion  into the women's wear business. Allen Solly womenswear was added ten years ago to Allen Solly’s portfolio. Allen Solly Women contributes 25 per cent to the brand’s total revenue. Allen Solly has a annual turn over of Rs 500 crore for FY 12. 

The Brand is expanding its product category portfolio with special focus on its accessories such as belts, bags, wallets, women’s hand bags to complete its portfolio.

Today there are more than 30 product categories in the brand’s portfolio, thus making it a truly International lifestyle Brand.
