Blue Star net slumps 26% at Rs 155 cr

India's largest air-conditioning and commercial refrigeration company Blue Star Ltd posted a 26% decline in its net profit at Rs 155 crore for the year ended March 31, 2011. The net profit for FY10 was Rs 211.49 crore.
The total income of the company, however, rose 14% to Rs 2888.57 crore from Rs 2537.23 crore in the last year.
Ashok Advani, Executive Chairman of the company attributed higher tax provision for the squeeze in net profit.
