Educomp Solutions Q1 net up 10% at Rs 40 cr

Education solutions provider Educomp Solutions today said it has reported a growth of 9.51% in its consolidated net profit at Rs 40.05 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011, on the back of higher net sales.

The company had a net profit of Rs 36.57 crore during the same period last fiscal, Educomp Solutions said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Total revenue of the company rose by 28% to Rs 292.42 crore the first quarter current fiscal, against Rs 227.87 crore reported an year ago.

On the standalone basis, the company's net profit dropped marginally by 1.51% to Rs 43.54 crore during the April-June period as compared to Rs 44.21 crore reported an year ago.

 

Shares of Educomp Solutions were trading at Rs 327.55 on the BSE in the late afternoon trade, up 0.72% from the previous close.
