| Gangotri net up 45% to Rs 6.85 cr |
| Gangotri Textiles has reported 45 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 6.85 crore for the first nine months of the current financial year to December 2005 against Rs 4.71 crore during the same period in 2004-05. |
| Gross profit stood at Rs 19.49 crore, up 30 per cent from Rs 14.92 crore in the last corresponding period, a company release said. Due to sharp drop both in yarn and cotton prices, turnover was lower at Rs 111.20 crore from Rs 139.86 crore. |
| The company, manufacturers and exporters of quality ring and open-end spun yarn, and tibre brand men's wear, has worked with 92 per cent capacity utilisation, it said. Gangotri has filed the draft red herring prospectus with Sebi in connection with the proposed public issue of shares of Rs 55 crore under the book building process. |
| Goldstone Tele net up 112% |
| Goldstone Teleservices recorded 111.87 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 50.85 lakh in the third quarter ended December 2005 compared with Rs 24 lakh earned in the corresponding period of the last financial year. |
| Income from operations stood at Rs 6.82 crore, up 44.66 per cent over Rs 4.72 crore in the year-ago period. |
| Indo Count bottomline up 661% |
| Indo Count Industries has registered 661 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 1.37 crore for the quarter ended December 2005 as compared with Rs 0.18 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. |
| Net sales stood at Rs 54.26 crore as against Rs 61.27 crore in the year-ago period. During the quarter, revenues from its textile division stood at Rs 26.67 crore (Rs 28.16 in Q3 FY05) and electronic at Rs 27.59 crore (Rs 33.11 crore). |
