Hero Ultra to open 43 showrooms by March

Hero Ultra Pvt Ltd is planning to open 43 new showrooms across the country by March 2008. The company has set a target of selling 20,000 units in FY07-08.

Hero Ultra is a JV between Hero Cycles and UK-based Ultra Motor Company. It manufactures battery-operated (electric) two-wheelers at its Dehra Dun plant.

It had recently opened its 132nd showroom in Nashik. The company has 16 showrooms in Maharashtra including one each in Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Ahmedabad, Sangli, Jalgaon, Kolhapur, Akola and two in Nagpur.

"We plan to increase the network to 175 by opening another 43 showrooms in major cities by the end of March. In Maharashtra, we will open showrooms in Mumbai suburbs, Satara, Amravati and other cities," a senior company official said.
