10-12% polling in Bihar

An estimated 10-12 per cent voters exercised their franchise in the first three hours of polling in 13 out of 40 Lok Sabha seats of Bihar today.

Long queues of voters were seen at different polling centres in Gopalganj, Maharajganj, Ara, Gaya, Buxar, Jehanabad, Aurangabad, Nawada, Saran, Sasaram, Siwan, Karakat and Jamui constituencies where polling was in progress.

There were some reports of people boycotting polls at some booths in naxal-infested Jamui, Jehanabad, Gaya and Sasaram constituencies, election office sources said.
