China's GDP growth down to 6.8%, slowest in 7 years

China's gross domestic product (GDP) grew 6.8 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2008 over the corresponding quarter last year, the slowest pace in the last seven years as the global slowdown hurt exports, report news agencies quoting Chinese statistics bureau in Beijing.
