Gas row: NTPC to move 'relevant' fora

State power utility NTPC on Tuesday said it was consulting lawyers to approach the “relevant” fora on the issue of procuring gas from Mukesh Ambani-led RIL for its projects at the committed price.

The power PSU informed the stock exchanges: “NTPC, in consultations with its lawyers, shall continue to take appropriate steps to protect its interest at relevant” fora.

The announcement came within hours of Power Minister Shushilkumar Shinde declaring that his ministry would advise NTPC on its legal battle with Reliance Industries.
