High-level committee clears Rs 16,078 cr worth of projects in Karnataka

The State High-Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) has approved 23 industrial projects involving an investment of Rs 16,078 crore. These projects, once implemented, would provide jobs to 368,837 persons.
The SHLCC meeting chaired by chief minister Jagadish Shettar approved new projects from companies like Kirloskar Toyoda Textile Machinery Pvt Ltd has proposed to set up Engine and Textile Machinery Manufacturing unit with an investment of Rs 3,847 crore in Kittur, Belgaum district which will provide an employment to 1,231 people.
Reliance Cement Company Pvt Ltd has proposed to set up cement grinding unit at an investment of Rs 690 crore in Gowribidanur taluk.
