Holidays, war troubles to clamp down trend
The dull trend in non-statutory liquidity ratio (non-SLR) papers is likely to continue this week, owing to holidays and the complications in the Gulf war.
New positions are unlikely to be built up. The difference in yields (spreads) between the best rated five-year corporate bond and the comparable maturity gilt may not undergo a dramatic change.
