Gurumani to attend SKS board meeting on October 22

Suresh Gurumani, who was removed from the position of the Chief Executive Officer of SKS Microfinance, plans to attend the company’s board meeting in Hyderabad on October 22. “There was an invitation to attend the meeting as a board member and I have accepted it,’’ said Gurumani, declining to say anything further.

SKS Microfinance’s board on October 4 said it had terminated the services of Gurumani as the CEO. The Founder-Chairman, Vikram Akula, later explained that Gurumani was removed because of some “inter-personal” issues.
