Bank of India has slipped 6% to Rs 270 on reporting 38% year-on-year fall in net profit at Rs 302 crore for the second quarter ended September 2012, due to higher provisioning for bad loans. Analyst on an average had estimated profit of Rs 790 crore from the state-owned bank.

The banks gross NPA have increased to 3.42% from 2.56%, while Net NPA rose to 2.04% from 1.89% on quarter on quarter basis.
