C-Met offers ultra high purity metals

The Hyderabad laboratory of Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET) has developed state-of-the-art technology for semi-pilot scale production of three ultra high purity materials "� tellurium, cadmium and gallium. The metals with 99.9 per cent are used in fabricating electronic devices.

Another unique effort of C-MET is pilot scale production of tantalum powder for high quality capacitors used in electronic gadgets like cell phones.

C-MET produced the powder by using indigenously designed and fabricated equipment. C-MET today completed 14 years of illustrious service to the nation.

With three R&D laboratories at Pune, Thrissur and Hyderabad, the centre is now a leading source of critical electronic materials and technical services for the industry.
