Copra Alapuzha and Kozhikode surge on brisk demand

Copra Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices rallied at the spices market here today due to strong demand from domestic as well as export market amidst higher offtake from millers.

Copra office Alapuzha shot up by Rs 150 per qintal to Rs 6,550 from Monday's closing level of Rs 6,400 and copra office kozhikode rose by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 6,300 as compared to Rs 6,200 previously.   

Other spices closed steady owing to lack of buying activity.
