Sensex down 169pts; ICICI Bank declines 4%

The NSE Nifty is down 37 points at 5,012.

ICICI Bank has plunged 3.5% to Rs 852, and BHEL has slumped 3% to Rs 1,815.

Tata Steel, HDFC Bank and Hindalco have dropped around 2.5% each to Rs 761, Rs 1,452 and Rs 189, respectively.

SBI has slipped 2% to Rs 1,698. Larsen & Toubro and HDFC have shed 1.7% each at Rs 2,872 and Rs 2,536, respectively.

Satyam has declined 1.5% to Rs 429. Reliance Communications is down 1% at Rs 547.

Wipro has gained 1.7% at Rs 438. ACC is up 1% at Rs 828.
