Sensex up 71pts; breadth firm

The NSE Nifty is up seven points at 5,235.

Reliance Energy, Larsen & Toubro and Jaiprakash Associates have rallied over 2% each to Rs 1,555, Rs 3,209 and Rs 292, respectively.

Tata Steel and ACC have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 807 and Rs 763, respectively. Grasim is up over 1% at Rs 2,395.

Hindalco has slipped over 2% to Rs 182. Wipro, Tata Motors  and Mahindra & Mahindra have dropped over 1.5% each to Rs 495, Rs 680 and Rs 679, respectively.

SBI is down 1.3% at Rs 1,799.

Out of 2,647 stocks traded, 2,085 have advanced, 525 have declined and 37 are unchanged.
