Sugar eases on reduced offtake, ample supply

Sugar prices moved down modestly at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to reduced consumer demand amid higher arrivals from the mills. 

Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 2,781/2,951 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 2,791/2,961. 

Small sugar (S-30) also looked down by a similar margin to Rs 2,716/2,855 per quintal, as compared to Rs 2,716/2,865 yesterday.

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,781/2,951 (Rs 2,791/2,961)
