7 in 10 adults just 'make do' with their long-term partners

A new survey has revealed that a substantial number of people are in relationships with partners they do not consider to be 'the love of their lives'.

As per the research, 1 out of every 7 adults are not completely in love with their 'better half' and a significant number of people said that they compromised while choosing their partner as they had lost their 'soul-mates', Metro.co.uk reported.

According to the Siemens Festival Nights poll, some people fell in love with someone else while they were in a relationship and were deeply connected to both of them simultaneously.

Half the number of adults who polled also admitted that they would leave their relationship if they got a chance to be with the person they truly love.

 

The study conducted on 2000 adults also revealed that men were more 'loyal' to their partners, with over a third of them admitting they would stay in a relationship in order not to hurt their other half.
