Pakistan fast-bowler Junaid Khan's Magnetic Resonance Image (MRI) has cleared him for taking part in the 2015 World Cup starting next month, as revealed by a statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Junaid had sustained injured to his right thigh and left elbow after he slipped during the team's practice session in Lahore.
PCB's general manager Sports Medicine Dr. Sohail Saleem said that the pain in Khan's right thigh was non-radiating and was confined to an area of 4x4 centimeters just below the hip, adding that there was no discoloration or change in the temperature in the area, the Express Tribune reported.
Saleem said that for the correct prognosis, Khan was put through an MRI scan, which came out to be normal.
The doctor added that the paceman is already feeling better and is expected to travel to New Zealand as planned without any problems.
