Rajkummar's 'Newton' is India's official entry to Oscars 2018
Recently-released black comedy film 'Newton,' starring Rajkummar Rao?, is India's official entry to the 90th Academy Awards ceremony.
The elated 33-year-old actor took to his Twitter handle and confirmed the news, writing, "Very happy to share this news that #NEWTON is India's official entry to the #OSCARS this year. Congratulations team."
The movie, which also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Anjali Patil and Raghubir Yadav, is directed by Amit V Masurkar.
'Newton' had its world premiere in the Forum section of the 67th Berlin International Film Festival.
This year's Oscars will be held on March 4, 2018, in Los Angeles.
