A Sikh man has reportedly been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment after he was found guilty of carrying a knife attack on former Indian military lieutenant general General Kuldeep Singh Brar.
Brar, who led the military team that conducted the controversial operation 'Bluestar' in 1984, was on holiday in London when he was attacked by a knife on his neck by a gang of four in 2012.
According to the Independent, one of the accused, Lakhbir Singh, 26, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for grievous bodily harm with intent at Southwark Crown Court.
Meanwhile, three Sikh men and a woman were jailed for their role in the attack against the general in December last year.
