Healthcare shares gain
Healthcare stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index rising 136.93 points or 0.9% at 15296.7 at 09:53 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Aster DM Healthcare Ltd (up 5.26%), Opto Circuits (India) Ltd (up 4.98%),Albert David Ltd (up 3.76%),Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company Ltd (up 3.65%),Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (up 3.43%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were FDC Ltd (up 3.34%), Solara Active Pharma Sciences Ltd (up 3.34%), Hikal Ltd (up 2.93%), Piramal Enterprises Ltd (up 2.58%), and Syngene International Ltd (up 2.56%).
On the other hand, Sequent Scientific Ltd (down 4.05%), Panacea Biotec Ltd (down 3.8%), and Medicamen Biotech Ltd (down 2.96%) moved lower.
At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 83.83 or 0.26% at 31601.92.
The Nifty 50 index was down 29.95 points or 0.32% at 9240.95.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 62.35 points or 0.58% at 10763.66.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 28.77 points or 0.76% at 3810.18.
On BSE,829 shares were trading in green, 498 were trading in red and 77 were unchanged.
