Industrials shares rise
Industrials stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Industrials index rising 20.41 points or 0.7% at 2917.32 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Industrials index, SpiceJet Ltd (up 10.37%), Skipper Ltd (up 10.27%),ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd (up 5.1%),Simplex Infrastructures Ltd (up 4.96%),State Trading Corporation of India Ltd (up 4.76%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were PSP Projects Ltd (up 4.42%), Gateway Distriparks Ltd (up 4.05%), Sanghvi Movers Ltd (up 3.92%), SORIL Infra Resources Ltd (up 3.72%), and Kridhan Infra Ltd (up 3.66%).
On the other hand, Suzlon Energy Ltd (down 7.07%), Reliance Naval & Engineering Ltd (down 4.98%), and Sintex Plastics Technology Ltd (down 4.59%) moved lower.
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 122.67 or 0.3% at 41697.81.
The Nifty 50 index was up 36.25 points or 0.3% at 12282.05.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 78.94 points or 0.58% at 13626.75.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 21.9 points or 0.46% at 4768.35.
On BSE,980 shares were trading in green, 495 were trading in red and 79 were unchanged.
