Volumes jump at Bajaj Finance counter

Bajaj Finance clocked volume of 3.63 lakh shares by 13:14 IST on BSE, a 69.64-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 5,000 shares. The stock lost 1.67% to Rs 1,280 after two block deals were executed on BSE. A block deal of 50,001 shares was executed at Rs 1,285 at 10:55 IST. Another block deal of 3 lakh shares was executed at Rs 1,260 at 11:40 IST. The block deals constitute 0.81% of Bajaj Finance's equity.
Supreme Infrastructure notched up volume of 2.80 lakh shares, a 45.86-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 6,000 shares. The stock rose 1.4% at Rs 260.
Persistent Systems saw volume of 7.91 lakh shares, a 32.37-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 24,000 shares. The stock rose 2.88% to Rs 515. The stock hit a record high of Rs 523 in the intraday trade today, 21 December 2012.
