Rains lashed several parts of the city today, offering respite from the hot conditions.
"The Safdarjung observatory, considered the official reading for the city, received 6.0 mm rainfall while areas under Palam, Ayanagar and Lodhi road recorded 9.2 mm, 14.2 mm and 3.4 mm rainfall respectively," said the MeT department official.
However, areas falling under Ridge did not receive any rains, the official said.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 25.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal and the humidity was recorded 92 per cent at 8.30 AM.
MeT office has predicted overcast conditions accompanied by rains and thunderstorms for the rest of the day.
"The skies will be generally cloudy. Thunderstorm with rains would occur in some areas. The maximum temperature is likely to settle at 35 degrees," said the weatherman.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 38.4 degrees, two notches above normal level, while the minimum temperature was 31.2 degrees, which was four notches above for the season's average.
