In Delhi from December 7 to 8, the Acting Special US Representative and Policy Coordinator for Burma (Myanmar), Patrick Murphy, will also travel to Brussels, London, Rangoon and Beijing, during his two-week long trip.

"He will meet with senior government officials, NGOs, think tanks, academics and civil society groups to discuss US policy toward Burma and coordination of efforts to support and strengthen reform and reconciliation efforts in that country," the State Department said in a press statement.

In Myanmar, from December 12 to 18, Murphy will consult with government officials and ethnic and civil society leaders in Rangoon and Naypyitaw.

He will also participate, with US Ambassador Derek Mitchell, in MTV's End Exploitation and Trafficking (EXIT) event to increase awareness and prevention of human trafficking.
