Rs 424cr to be allocated for revamping Ghb power supply: Singh

Centre has approved an allocation of Rs 424 crore to revamp the power supply of the district, Union Minister and local MP Gen (retd) V K Singh said today.

Addressing officials of the district electricity council at the collectorate here, Singh said the central government has launched two ambitious schemes 'Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana' and 'Integrated Power Development Scheme' to improve power transmission and distribution system in the rural as well as urban areas.

The power supply will be improved with the help of state government. Power supply without outages can only be ensured with the co-ordination of transmission and distribution departments of UPPCL, he said.
 

He said as per the conditions laid down in the Detailed Project Report, each and every activity will be assessed at regular intervals by district magistrate after every 15 days.
