A Nepalese woman has been sentenced to 10 years in jail, 35 years after she sold a teenage girl to a broker in India for Rs 150 and a radio.
Keshari Sarkini from Western Nepal's Dand district has been arrested for selling the girl from her neighbourhood in 1980.
Dang District Court has convicted her under the human trafficking act and sentenced her to 10 years in jail, police said.

The victim was just 19 when she was sold.
The woman had admitted her crime saying that the small amount of money was important for her at that time.
She had also received a Phillips transistor besides the cash from selling the girl.
Keshari is among the three convicts involved in the crime.
One of the convicts has died and another is absconding, police said.
The victims has now turned 52 and is leading a normal life in Deukhuri valley in the district.
She was released by the traffickers after several years of exploitation at different places of India.
She was taken to Bihar by the traffickers and held hostage for several months and one of the traffickers took her to Jaipur where she was frequently raped, according to the victim.
She also gave birth to a baby boy after the incident.
