Vrs Proposed For Railways

The standing committee on railways has recommended that the government formulate a voluntary retirement scheme offering attractive benefits to employees for opting to retire after 15-20 years of service. This is part of the plan prepared by the committee to reduce the manpower in the railways at the rate of 2 per cent a year. PTI
