'FIFA tells Satyam's story of glory'

Satyam Computer Services Ltd’s (rebranded as Mahindra Satyam), new logo — a dual-colour logo with Tech Mahindra in Grey and Satyam in red — appearing across the side boards alongside some of the best brands in the world at the ongoing Fifa World Cup 2010 in South Africa, tells that the story of our glory has just began, Hari Tallapalli, chief marketing and chief people officer of the IT outsoucing company, said in a communique to their associates (as Satyam calls its employees).

“July brought in a great cheer for Mahindra Satyam, the Mahindra Group and India, as a whole. We are proud to be the first Indian company to be associated with one of the world’s biggest sporting events – the 2010 Fifa World Cup. Across $1billion worth of technology assets, 1 million-odd hours of development work, 3 million tickets, 250,000 accreditations, 130,000 volunteers, 1,000 vehicles, 64 matches, 10 stadia in South Africa, we are seamlessly integrating IT systems for the world to enjoy the game,” he said.

 

Satyam is the first Indian company to sign with Fifa, the world soccer body, as a sponsor and official IT provider for the 2010 and 2014 editions of the football world cup tournament.
