Intoto develops next-gen UTM solution

The research and development teams of Intoto in Hyderabad and Chennai have jointly developed the next-generation unified threat management (UTM) solution, iGateway EX UTM, a media statement said.

Intoto is a provider of network security platforms for UTM security appliances and secure converged business gateways.

The iGateway EX UTM solution supports new and advanced hardware architecture and products including multicore processors as well as content inspection accelerators. The iGateway UTM platform also includes ICSA Labs certified Firewall and virtual private network (VPN) functions.

IDC predicts that by 2009, UTM will become the single largest market segment within network security, growing to $2.4 billion and surpassing even firewall appliances.

"With the UTM segment poised for an explosive growth, OEMs are racing to deliver products that tap into this exciting opportunity," Doug Makishima, vice-president (marketing) at Intoto, said.
