Keystone Realtors Ltd has been selected to redevelop eight housing societies in Mumbai, enabling the company to generate revenue of Rs 3,000 crore from the saleable area. In a regulatory filing on Wednesday, Keystone Realtors informed that "it has been selected by eight housing societies as the developer for the large-scale cluster redevelopment project in the highly sought after residential neighbourhood of Andheri West, Mumbai." The Development Agreement (DA) has already been executed with five societies, while LOIs have been received from the remaining three societies, with DA execution expected over the next few days. More than 25 lakh new vehicles hit the roads of Maharashtra in 2023, taking the number of digitally registered vehicles to 3.58 crore, an official said on Monday. As per the data shared by the state transport department, 25,63,491 new vehicles were registered in Maharashtra in 2023, compared to 23,74,591 registered the previous year, registering a growth of 7.91 per cent. At least 23.74 lakh vehicles were registered in Maharashtra in 2022 compared to 19.23 lakh in 2019, seeing a 23.46 per cent rise in registration, it said. Interestingly, the data revealed that among the new vehicles registered last year, nearly 17.61 lakh were two-wheelers. Of the 25.63 lakh new vehicles, more than seven lakh were registered during the festival season between October and December, as per the data. At least 2.42 lakh vehicles were registered in October, followed by 3.05 lakh in November and 2.29 lakh in December, it stated. A fire broke out at a compound in Andheri suburb of Mumbai on Thursday and spread to six shops, officials said. There was no report of any casualty so far, they said. The blaze erupted at around 1.30 pm in Anees compound located on link road in Sakinaka area of Andheri (East), an official said. The fire was confined to six shops, he said. Five fire brigade vehicles were rushed to the spot and efforts were on to douse the blaze, the official said. The cause of the fire was not yet known.

The project cost for Phase 1 redevelopment is Rs 218 crores."In addition to Andheri, IRSDC will be redeveloping Dadar, Kalyan, Thakurli, Bandra, CSMT, Thane, and Borivali stations in Mumbai. The work across these projects is at different stages and is expected to be completed within the stipulated time frame, S.K. Lohia, MD & CEO, IRSDC, said.IRSDC is working on 63 stations, and RLDA is working on 60 stations. As per current estimates, the total investment needed for the redevelopment of 123 stations along with real estate development is about Rs 50,000 crore.
