After a successful pilot, Coca-Cola has decided to expand its frozen fruit dessert offering in major metros. This is part of company's strategy to build a portfolio beyond carbonated drinks.Coca-Cola India president T Krishnakumar said that by summer the company plans to take the offering in the top five metros. The company has been testing this product in Bengaluru.While it will be coming out from dispensers and served in cups, still the company don't wanted to call it as an ice cream and prefer to call it as 'Frozen Fruit dessert' as it will not have dairy or no added sugar.These will be made of locally sourced fruits. On Monday, beverage major Coca-Cola India said it would contribute $1.7 billion (Rs 11,000 crore) with its bottling partners, fruit suppliers and processors in Maharashtra to create an entire eco-system to procure and process the pulp of the mosambi fruit.
