Hindus don't disrespect religious figures: Pramod Krishnam slams Kharge

Acharya Pramod Krishnam, a former Congress leader and Kalki Peethadhishwar, on Monday slammed Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge over his recent remarks on CM Yogi Adityanath, and said true Hindus do not disrespect their religious figures. Kharge slammed the Uttar Pradesh chief minister in a poll rally in Nagpur for his 'batenge toh katenge' (if divided, we will be wiped out) slogan, saying these were divisive statements. A day later in a Jharkhand poll rally, he said, "A true Yogi cannot use language like batenge toh katenge'. This language is used by terrorists. Yogi is head of a mutt, wears saffron robes, but believes in mukh me Ram bagal me chhuri' (A wolf in lamb's clothing). Kharge had said that those who truly want a united country should refrain from such statements. Reacting to the Congress president's remarks, Krishnam said, The name Mallikarjun Kharge suggests he is Hindu, but his actions do not reflect that," Krishnam said. Congress trying to break collective strength of SC, ST, OBC: PM Modi

The Congress is trying to break the collective strength of SC, ST and OBC by creating divisions among them to weaken their voice and eventually end the reservation for them, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday as he called for unity among these communities. That's why I keep saying ek rahenge, toh safe rahenge (if you remain united, you would be safe)," he said while interacting with BJP workers in Jharkhand under the 'mera booth sabse mazboot' programme through the NaMo app. Modi also highlighted the "failures" of the JMM-Congress-RJD combine's five-year rule and said the state has to be freed from corruption, mafiaism and misrule to put it on the path of progress. The kind of blessings that the BJP is receiving at booth levels, it's clear that the corrupt JMM-led government is set to be ousted, Modi asserted. The countdown has begun, he said. Siddaramaiah also challenged Modi that he should resign if he fails to prove his allegations made at Akola in Maharashtra. "I am surprised to see the prime minister of this country lies so much. "Today I challenge Narendra Modi that if he can prove these allegations, I will retire from politics. If you cannot, then you should retire," the chief minister said. "We are focused on our governance and our vision for a just, inclusive, and prosperous Jharkhand," Ramesh said. "The BJP's campaign is devoid of issues and focused solely on communal polarisation. 'Ek rahoge toh safe rahoge': PM claims Cong pitting OBCs against each other

Alleging that the Congress-JMM coalition wanted to divide OBCs by pitting sub-castes against each other, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday told an election rally in Jharkhand 'ek rahoge toh safe rahoge' (be united to be safe). Addressing the rally in Bokaro, Modi claimed that till there was no unity between OBCs, tribals and Dalits, the Congress kept forming governments at the Centre. "Beware of Congress-JMM's evil designs and conspiracies. They can go to any extent to snatch power. Congress has been an opponent of SC, ST, and OBC unity since Independence. Till there was no unity, Congress kept forming governments at the Centre and looted the nation," he said. "More than 125 sub-castes are considered OBCs in the Chotanagpur region. Congress-JMM wants to break the OBC unity by pitting sub-castes against each other. I warn you 'ek rahoge toh safe rahoge'," he added. BJP MP warns Ladki Bahin recipients against Cong rallies; EC sends notice

BJP MP Dhananjay Mahadik has kicked up a controversy by allegedly warning women who received Rs 1,500 under the Mahayuti government 'Majhi Ladki Bahin' scheme against attending rallies of the Congress party. The Majhi Ladki Bahin has been one of the major initiatives of the BJP-led Mahayuti this election year. In its manifesto for the November 20 state polls, the ruling alliance has promised to increase the aid to Rs 2,100 from Rs 1,500 if it is voted to power. Congress 'shahi parivar' hell-bent on breaking OBC-ST-SC unity: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday attacked the Congress, accusing that its 'shahi parivar' (royal family) is hell-bent on breaking the ST-SC-OBC unity to "snatch reservations under an evil design". Addressing an election rally at Gumla, he accused the JMM-led coalition of looting the state's rich resources such as minerals, forest, sand and coal, putting 'Roti-Beti-Mati' (bread, land and daughter) at grave threat. He also accused the ruling dispensation of facilitating illegal immigration. "The Congress knows that if STs, SCs and OBCs are united, they will pose a threat to the party's existence. This is the reason the Congress 'shahi parivar' is hell-bent on break their unity... They want to snatch reservations. "The Congress is trying to pit one tribal community against another... Munda against Oraon, Lohra against Kharia, Kharwar against Korwa etc. with an agenda to break the tribal society's strength," he said. The Congress cannot tolerate tribals in higher posts, which is

PM has 'denied' Adivasis religious identity, refused Sarna code, says Cong

The Congress hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday by posing questions on Jharkhand, asking why has he "denied" Adivasis their religious identity and refused to enact the Sarna code. Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh said that as Prime Minister Modi holds poll rallies in Jharkhand, he should answer three questions before seeking a single vote. Where is the Korba-Lohardaga and Chatra-Gaya railway lines, Ramesh asked in a post on X. He said the people of Lohardaga and Chatra have been demanding better rail connectivity for years as it would improve locals' access to education and employment opportunities. "Sadly, the Railway Ministry has ignored their demands and made very poor progress on this front. In October 2022, the Railway Ministry sanctioned the Chatra-Gaya rail project but two years later, no progress has been made. There is no word on the Korba-Lohardaga line," he said. Kharge targets PM for linking Constitution's red book with urban Naxalism

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP for equating a "red book" of the Constitution with "urban Naxalism" and said the PM gave a similar copy in 2017 to then President Ram Nath Kovind. Addressing a press conference here after launching the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi 's (MVA) manifesto for the November 20 Maharashtra assembly elections, Kharge also said his party's demand for a caste census is not to divide people, but to understand how various communities are placed at present so that they can get more benefits. Notably, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recently alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was trying to seek support from urban Naxals and anarchists by holding a red book in his hand. Gandhi, the leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, has been displaying an abridged version of the Constitution in a red cover during his rallies. Kharge said the red handbook was only used for reference and it was
