Asia Cup: Bangladesh replaces Injured Ebadot with uncapped Tanzim Hasan

Bangladesh pacer Ebadot Hossain was on Tuesday ruled out of the upcoming Asia Cup due to a knee injury sustained during the ODI series against Afghanistan last month. Ebadot, who was named in the 17-member squad 10 days ago, failed to recover within the designated time-frame and has been replaced by uncapped 20-year-old pacer Tanzim Hasan. It remains to be seen whether the 29-year-old will be able to regain fitness in time for the ODI World Cup in India from October 5. World Cup: BCCI tells HCA that no further change in schedule possible

The Indian cricket board on Monday officially turned down the request of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) to change the ICC World Cup 2023 schedule. The HCA had appealed to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for a change in schedule after the local police authorities expressed their reservations about deploying adequate personnel on back-to-back match days. "BCCI secretary Jay Shah held a meeting with HCA officials in Delhi after the Asia Cup team selection meeting (for which the secretary is convenor) and the state unit was categorically told that no changes would be entertained after a revised schedule was issued on August 9," a BCCI source informed. Thumb fracture forces Devdutt Padikkal out of action for ''3-4 weeks''

Indian opener Devdutt Padikkal on Thursday confirmed he will be out of action for three to four weeks owing to a fracture he sustained in his thumb. Padikkal, who played two T20Is for India in 2021, suffered the injury during the Deodhar Trophy earlier this month. West Indies' Marlon Samuels found guilty by anti-corruption tribunal

Former West Indies cricketer Marlon Samuels has been found guilty of four offences under the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) Anti-Corruption Code following a hearing by an independent Anti-Corruption Tribunal. The International Cricket Council (ICC), in its capacity as the Designated Anti-Corruption Official under the ECB Code, had charged Samuels in September 2021 of breaching four counts of anti-corruption code during a T10 league in 2019. The 42-year-old has been found guilty after he exercised his right to a hearing before the Tribunal. "The Tribunal will now consider the submissions of each party before deciding on the appropriate sanction to be imposed. The decision will follow in due course," ICC said in a release.
