'Sherlock Holmes 3' has been pushed back a year and will now hit theatres on December 21, 2021.Warner Bros. had originally announced last May that 'Sherlock Holmes 3' would open on Chirstmas Day of 2020 with Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as the titular British detective while Jude Law will essay the role of his sidekick, Dr. Watson, reported Variety.While Chris Brancato has written the script, Susan Downey, Joel Silver and Lionel Wigram are producing 'Sherlock Holmes 3.' "Hamid", a film which explores an unlikely bond between an eight-year-old boy and a CRPF trooper, was slated to release on March 1, but will now hit the screens on March 15 after the makers decided to delay its release following the Pulwama terror attack last month.
'Superstore' renewed for fifth season
"Superstore" has been renewed for season five at NBC. The comedy set in a fictitious big-box utility store 'Cloud 9' has been picked up days ahead of its return from a three-month hiatus, reported Variety. "Week after week (creator) Justin Spitzer, our amazing writers, and cast and crew masterfully deliver a comedy that not only makes us laugh but speaks to the larger issues of the day," Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, co-presidents of scripted programming at NBC, said in a statement. The network previously renewed comedies "The Good Place", "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and "Will & Grace" for another run. Featuring America Ferrara, Ben Feldman, Mark McKinney, Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nico Santos and Nicole Bloom, "Superstore" returns Thursday.

Actor-director Ben Affleck has opened up about his battle with alcoholism, saying dealing with the problem is a "part of my life". In an interview with US Today, the 46-year-old actor was asked about getting his life back on track after his recent trip to a rehabilitation centre. The band, consisting of three brothers -- Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas -- released the song "Sucker" marking their comeback after six years. 'Crazy Rich Asians' sequels will be shot back-to-back in 2020: Gemma Chan
Gemma Chan has confirmed that the two sequels to "Crazy Rich Asians" will be filmed in succession and the shoot will commence next year. The actor shot to international fame with her performance as the independent, sophisticated Astrid in the 2018 hit rom-com with an all-Asian cast. Asked about the status of the sequels, Chan told Variety, "I have heard we are going to shoot (films) two and three back-to-back in 2020. But it's still a way off. I know, it's a while." Joe Wright is in negotiations to direct the big screen adaptation of World War II-set novel "In the Garden of Beasts". The film, based on Erik Larson's book of the same name, will chronicle the true story of William Dodd, the reluctant and mild-mannered US ambassador to Germany in 1933, and his daughter Martha, a vivacious socialite who had romantic affairs with a Gestapo official and a Soviet spy. Dodd and his family at first naively navigated life in Nazi Germany (Dodd's daughter was excited when Adolf Hitler kissed her hand), but they slowly gained awareness of the mounting brutality around them.
