Explosion on sets of 'Bond 25' leaves one injured, damages stage

The upcoming James Bond film has hit yet another roadblock following a major accident on the sets at Pinewood Studios in the U.K.According to a statement from the official James Bond Twitter handle, a controlled explosion went wrong during the shooting of the film, damaging the exterior of the famous 007 stage at the iconic studio and injuring a crewmember outside the stage."During the filming of a controlled explosion on the set of Bond 25 today at Pinewood Studios, damage was caused to the exterior of the 007 Stage. Mahershala Ali eyeing to star in 'Solitary'

Two times Oscar winner, Mahershala Ali is eyeing to star in the upcoming prison drama 'Solitary'. He will also be executive producing the film.'Solitary' is based on a memoir 'Solitary: Unbroken by four decades in Solitary confinement, My Story of Transformation and Hope' about and penned by Albert Woodfox, who spent 43 years in solitary confinement in Louisiana's prison, Deadline reported.Woodfox received the sentence for killing a prison guard in 1972, which he denied committing. He was released in 2016 and now lives in a house he bought in New Orleans.Although the film is in its early development stage, no director and screenwriter have been confirmed yet.Jamie Patricof and Katie McNeill will produce the film and Carolyn Govers will serve as the co-executive producer.Ali is popularly known for his role in the Netflix drama series 'House of Cards' and also won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in 'Moonlight' and 'Green Book'.

Madras HC says no to monetising Ilaiyaraja's songs without his permission

The Madras High Court Tuesday prohibited monetising songs of renowned music composer Ilaiyaraja through TV reality shows, concerts and online radio channels, among others, without his prior permission. Justice Anita Sumanth passed the order on a civil suit filed by Ilaiyaraja, alleging copyright infringement by Agi Music, Echo Recording, Giri Trading Company and a few others. The court had earlier passed an interim order in favour of the music composer and confirmed it on Tuesday. Justice Sumanth made it clear that the songs composed by the musician cannot be exploited or monetised in any manner without his prior permission. However, films comprising songs composed by Ilaiyaraja released and screened in theatres are exempted from the order. Ilaiyaraja had filed the suit in 2014 against the music recording companies and others for allegedly infringing his copyright over the songs composed by him. Shahid Kapoor is yet to decide what he wants to do next after "Kabir Singh" but his wish is to feature in a biopic on boxer Dingko Singh. There were reports that Shahid would turn producer for a film based on the life of Manipuri boxer Ngangom Dingko Singh. The film, to be directed by Raja Krishna Menon, would feature Shahid in the titular role. When asked for an update on the project, Shahid told PTI, "I have the rights for Dingko Singh.
