Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday said the GST reforms will strengthen national economy and provide relief from inflation. Gupta, who is set to participate in the 'GST Savings Festival' at Totaram Market in Tri Nagar on Monday afternoon, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative to simplify the tax system and make it citizen-friendly has ushered in Diwali early for the capital's traders. "It feels as if Diwali has come early this year for the people of Delhi. Monolithisch eyes 30% share of premixed ramming mass market in 2 years

Monolithisch India Ltd, manufacturer of premixed ramming mass, is aiming for up to 30 per cent share of the market in the next couple of years, according to its Managing Director Harsh Tekriwal. The premixed ramming mass is expected to grow to nearly 5 lakh tonnes a month, Tekriwal said. The company, which went public in June this year, is embarking on a capacity expansion drive targetting around 5.74 lakh tonnes per annum (TPA) of ramming mass in the next one year, Tekriwal told PTI. Premixed ramming mass is used for lining induction furnaces mostly used in secondary steel sector and alloy melting applications, acting as insulation material between the furnace and the molten metal, which is being melted. Navaratri bonanza for buyers as car, bike makers roll out price cuts

Buyers are in for a bonanza with leading automakers Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Hyundai Motor India set to cut prices from Monday, coinciding with the first day of the auspicious Navaratri period. Luxury carmakers Mercedes-Benz and BMW as well as two-wheeler makers are set to reduce prices with new GST coming into force from September 22. Maruti Suzuki India, the country's largest carmaker, has cut vehicle prices by up to Rs 1.29 lakh to pass on the GST rate cut benefit to customers. Prices of kitchen staples to electronics, from medicines and equipment to automobiles, will get cheaper from Monday as the reduced GST rates on about 375 items come into effect. In a bonanza to consumers, the GST Council, comprising Centre and states, has decided to reduce tax rates on goods and services, from September 22 -- the first day of the Navaratri. Mass consumption items like ghee, paneer, butter, 'namkeen', ketchup, jam, dry fruits, coffee and ice creams, and aspirational goods like TV, AC, washing machines will become cheaper. Various FMCG companies have already announced reduction in prices in view of GST rationalisation. With GST on most drugs and formulations, and medical devices like glucometers and diagonistic kits reduced to 5 per cent, the cost of medicines will come down for the common man. TV prices drop ₹2,500-85,000 on lower GST, makers eye robust festive sales

Television makers are lowering the prices of their products in the range of Rs 2,500 to Rs 85,000 to pass on the GST cut benefit to consumers, and expect a robust sales during the festival season beginning Monday. In an effort to boost consumption, the GST Council earlier this month decided to reduce tax rates on goods and services from September 22 -- the first day of the Navaratri, leading to price cuts of various items like television and other white goods. The duty on TV sets with screen size above 32 inches will reduce to 18 per cent from the existing 28 per cent. TV makers have already announced price cuts in the range of Rs 2,500 to Rs 85,000, depending on the screen sizes and specifications, in order to extend the benefit of a 10 per cent reduction in GST to the consumers. National Consumer Helpline launches dedicated category for GST complaints

The Centre has created a dedicated category on National Consumer Helpline's INGRAM portal for registering complaints related to revised GST rates and their redressal. The GST Council has reduced the tax rates on various goods and services with effect from September 22. According to an official statement on Saturday, Department of Consumer Affairs has taken steps to align the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) with the 'Next-Gen GST Reforms 2025' approved during the 56th meeting of the GST Council. "To address the expected consumer queries and complaints on NCH following the implementation of revised GST charges, rates and exemptions effective from September 22, a dedicated category has been enabled on the INGRAM (Integrated Grievance Redressal Mechanism) portal," it added.
