Hero FinCorp garners ₹260 crore from investors in pre-IPO placement round

Hero FinCorp, the financial services division of two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp, has raised Rs 260 crore in a pre-IPO placement round. This fund mobilisation led to a reduction in fresh issue size to Rs 1,840 crore from the earlier planned Rs 2,100 crore. The total IPO size now stands at Rs 3,408 crore, which includes a Rs 1,568 crore offer-for-sale (OFS) by existing investors. This marks a reduction from the earlier planned Rs 3,668 crore. Those selling shares in the OFS are -- AHVF II Holdings Singapore II Pte. Ltd, Apis Growth II (Hibiscus) Pte. Ltd, Link Investment Trust (through Vikas Srivastava) and Otter Ltd. In the pre-IPO round executed on June 5, Hero FinCorp entered into investment agreements with 12 investors, allotting 18.57 lakh shares at Rs 1,400 per share on June 13, raising Rs 259.99 crore, according to a public announcement by the company. Hero MotoCorp dispatches dip 43% in April, hit by production pause

Hero MotoCorp on Friday said its dispatches to dealers declined 43 per cent to 3,05,406 units in April hit by a three-day production pause at four plants. The company dispatched 5,33,585 units to dealers in April last year. Domestic sales declined to 288,524 units last month, down from 5,13,296 units in April last year. Exports stood at 16,882 units last month as against 20,289 units in the year-ago period. The company said it recorded 5.05 lakh registrations for its internal combustion engine (ICE) two-wheelers in April. The company has maintained a consistent month-on-month increase in retail market share throughout 2025, it added. As part of a planned operational strategy, the company implemented a temporary production halt from April 17-19 at its Dharuhera, Gurugram, Haridwar, and Neemrana facilities to facilitate supply chain alignment and conduct scheduled maintenance and infrastructure enhancements; normalisation is anticipated in May, it said.

Hero Realty appoints Rohit Kishore as its new Chief Executive Officer

Real estate company Hero Realty has appointed Rohit Kishore as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Kishore has over 21 years of experience in the real estate industry, Hero Realty said in a statement on Monday. Kishore joins Hero Realty from Eldeco Properties, where he served as the CEO. Before Eldeco, he worked in many real estate companies, including Lotus Greens Developers, MARS Development, M3M India, and Bharti Realty. Hero Realty has successfully delivered projects in Ludhiana, Mohali and Haridwar. In December 2018, Hero Realty announced its foray into the Delhi-NCR property market with an investment of about Rs 900 crore to develop a premium housing project. Hero Realty is currently developing a few projects in Delhi-NCR.

Examining probe report on SEMPL, Hero; no final conclusion yet: MCA

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on Monday said it is examining the probe report on the affairs of Salt Experiences and Management Pvt Ltd (SEMPL) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd, and that no final conclusion should be drawn at this stage. In June 2023, an investigation was ordered into the affairs of SEMPL and Hero MotoCorp for alleged irregularities and the investigation was carried out through the Office of Regional Director (Northern Region) under the ministry. Later, the report was submitted to the ministry. In a statement on Monday, the ministry said the investigation report into the affairs of the two companies is under examination and that "no final conclusion should be drawn in this matter at this stage". The statement came amid recent reports claiming that the ministry has found no breach of corporate governance or fund diversion in the investigation. Hero MotoCorp gets additional tax demand of Rs 26.4 cr from I-T dept

Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp Ltd on Wednesday said it has received an additional tax demand of Rs 26.40 crore from the Income Tax Department for the assessment year 2020-21. The company received an order dated December 31, 2024, from the Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Central Circle 27, New Delhi for the assessment year 2020-21, Hero MotoCorp Ltd said in a regulatory filing. Stating that it had filed its income tax return for the assessment year 2020-21 on December 31, 2020, the company said the same was examined by the tax officer in detail as per the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961. "The tax officer has made the additions to the reported income to the tune of around Rs 96.5 crore resulting in an additional tax demand of Rs 26.4 crore (approximately)," it added. Hero MotoCorp on Tuesday said it is planning to enter Europe and the UK markets from the second half of 2025 as it looks to further consolidate its presence overseas. The New Delhi-headquartered two-wheeler major sells its products in 48 countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Hero MotoCorp sales increases by 19% to 637,050 units in September

Hero MotoCorp on Tuesday said its wholesales increased 19 per cent year-on-year to 6,37,050 units in September. The two-wheeler major had dispatched 5,36,499 units to dealers in September 2023. The company said its domestic sales rose to 6,16,706 units last month from 5,19,789 units in the year-ago period. Exports rose to 20,344 units last month compared to 16,710 units in the same month last year. "A positive sentiment is prevalent in the industry as it approaches the festive season on the back of a good monsoon," the company said in a statement. The company is geared up with a host of customer offers in line with previous festive periods across its wide portfolio, it added. The company said it has a strong pipeline of bookings and is experiencing increased customer footfall leading up to the festive season. The two-wheeler major expects healthy growth during the 32-day period starting from October 3, it noted.

Hero Motors Ltd files preliminary papers with Sebi for Rs 900 cr IPO

Hero Motors Ltd, the auto-components firm of the Hero Motors Company (HMC) Group, on Saturday filed preliminary papers with markets regulator Sebi to raise Rs 900 crore through an initial public offering (IPO). The IPO is a combination of a fresh issue of equity shares worth Rs 500 crore and an Offer-For-Sale (OFS) of shares valued at Rs 400 crore by promoters, according to the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP). The OFS includes Rs 250 crore worth of shares by O P Munjal Holdings, and Rs 75 crore each by Bhagyoday Investments and Hero Cycles. The company may consider a pre-IPO placement of Rs 100 crore. If such placement is completed, the fresh issue size will be reduced. Proceeds from the fresh issue to the tune of Rs 202 crore will be used for debt payment, Rs 124 crore for purchase of equipment required for expansion in capacity of the company's facility in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. Hero MotoCorp on Thursday said it has commenced operations in the Philippines. The strategic expansion marks a significant milestone in the company's efforts to strengthen its global presence, it said in a statement.
