Sudan's protest leaders said Thursday they will seek advice from demonstrators camped outside army headquarters on how to break the deadlock in talks with the military council on installing civilian rule. Talks between the two sides have been suspended since Monday after a disagreement over who should lead a new governing body -- a civilian or the military. The protest movement, the Alliance for Freedom and Change, said it will launch a campaign to urge demonstrators who have been rallying for weeks outside army headquarters in Khartoum, and in other cities, to come up with a solution to break the deadlock. With the BJP leading in 28 out of the 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh, the state unit of the opposition party Thursday demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Kamal Nath, who is heading the Congress government in the state since December last year. State BJP chief Rakesh Singh said the counting trends indicate an overwhelming mandate in favour of the BJP, which lost power in Madhya Pradesh in the Assembly polls held late last year. Union minister and BJP leader Mahesh Sharma is leading by a comfortable margin of 1.39 lakh votes from the Gautam Budhh Nagar seat after 19 rounds of counting for the Lok Sabha polls, the district election office said. By 6.45 pm, Sharma had polled 4.37 lakh votes across the five assembly segments of Noida, Jewar, Dadri, Sikandrabad and Khurja that constitute the Gautam Buddh Nagar parliamentary seat, it said. Bahujan Samaj Party's Satveer Nagar, whose candidature is also backed by the Samajwadi Party and the Rashtriya Lok Dal, is running second with 2.98 lakh votes.
