M&M to partner with Samsung to launch digital keys for electric SUVs

Mahindra & Mahindra and Samsung have collaborated to develop digital keys for electric SUVs, integrated with Samsung Wallet, thereby eliminating the need for physical keys, a senior official of the Korean electronics giant said on Wednesday. Samsung India, senior director for services and apps business, Madhur Chaturvedi said Mahindra is the first Indian automobile firm to have taken the initiative, while Samsung Wallet supports the digital keys feature of foreign companies like BMW, BYD, and Mercedes-Benz in India. The service will be available for Samsung Wallet users on Galaxy Z and S series devices. Mahindra became the first Indian automobile company to collaborate with Samsung for digital keys. Honda unveils electric SUV concept; to debut in Indian market in 2027

Japanese auto major Honda Motor Co., Ltd, on Wednesday unveiled Honda 0 a (alpha), its next-generation EV, which is scheduled to go on sale in India in 2027. The Honda 0 a is being developed as an SUV that will blend with both urban and natural environments, supporting people's lives in every situation, the automaker stated while unveiling the model at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The production model of the Honda 0 a is scheduled to go on sale globally, mainly in Japan and India, in 2027, it added. Hatchbacks to remain relevant in India despite global SUV trend: Fada

Amid the ongoing debate over whether entry-level small cars will stage a comeback in the GST 2.0 era, hatchbacks will maintain their market relevance despite the global trend of "SUVisation" across the auto industry, according to the automotive dealers' body Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations. Maruti Suzuki eyes leadership in India's growing mid-size SUV segment

Maruti Suzuki India is gunning for leadership in the mid-size SUV segment in the domestic market, currently dominated by its South Korean rival Hyundai, a senior company official said on Monday. The company, which has launched its new mid-size SUV Victoris with introductory prices ranging from Rs 10.5 lakh to Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom), is targeting a wider reach, specially GenZ customers by bringing it through its ARENA retail chain, Maruti Suzuki India Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales Partho Banerjee told reporters here in an interaction. Maruti Suzuki India on Wednesday expanded its product range in the country with the launch of an all-new model 'Victoris' as it looks to enhance its presence in the robustly growing mid-sized SUV segment. The country's largest carmaker currently sells SUV models like Fronx, Brezza, Jimny and Grand Vitara in the domestic market.
