Tata Motors expects low single-digit PV growth in FY26, hatchback rebound

Tata Motors expects to maintain low single-digit growth in passenger vehicle sales this fiscal in line with the overall industry estimate, with the company betting on premium hatchback sales to bounce back with the introduction of its all-new version of Altroz, a top company official said on Thursday. The company is looking to regain 25 per cent share in the premium hatchback segment, having seen it fall in the last one-and-a-half year, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Ltd and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd Managing Director Shailesh Chandra told PTI here in an interview. However, it has paused plans to introduce an electric version of the premium hatchback Altroz due to overcrowding in the price segment in which it was envisaged to be positioned, he said. The all-new Altroz has been launched with introductory prices ranging from Rs 6.89 lakh to Rs 11.29 lakh across petrol, CNG and diesel variants. Tata Tech expects return to healthy growth by Q2 FY26: CEO Warren Harris

Global product engineering and digital services firm Tata Technologies Ltd expects its return to healthy growth by the second quarter of this fiscal anticipating bilateral trade pacts between the US and its trade partners and the emergence of clarity after President Donald Trump's tariff shock, its CEO and Managing Director Warren Harris said. Having grappled with softness in the market over the last 12 months, he told PTI that the company was entering the new fiscal year "relatively bullish" before Trump's "tariff shock" prompted its customers to once again revisit their plans. "A lot of those customers towards the end of the (last) fiscal year were starting to get clarity, were starting to put programme decisions and we were very much encouraged by the interactions we had with many of our customers. We were relatively bullish coming into April," he said. Harris further said, "But unfortunately, almost within the first week of the new fiscal year the new (US) president announced th

Bharti Airtel and Tata Group have terminated discussions for a merger of their direct-to-home (DTH) business, according to a Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) filing on Saturday. Air India explores new routes for North America flights amid airspace curbs

Air India is looking at various alternatives for its North America flights from the national capital, including operating the services with a technical stop in a city within India, to reduce operational costs that have shot up due to the Pakistan airspace closure, sources said on Friday. Currently, Tata Group-owned Air India operates 71 flights a week to North American destinations and out of them, 54 services are from the national capital.
