Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter and MLC K Kavitha on Wednesday accused the BJP of intimidating TRS leaders and using "horse-trading" tactics to lure them into the saffron party. Addressing TRS cadres at a meeting in Yellareddy assembly constituency, she said the only policy that BJP preaches is 'Ram-Ram Japna, Paraya Leader Apna', where if the party fails in its horse trading attempts, it uses central agencies to harass leaders of opposition parties. Telangana Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy on Wednesday accused CRPF personnel, who accompanied the Income Tax department officials during the searches carried out at his residence and educational institutions here, of 'beating up' his son. Mahender Reddy, son of Malla Reddy, was admitted to the hospital after he complained of chest pain this morning. Telangana issues order for distribution of health kits to girl students

The Telangana government has accorded administrative sanction for an amount of Rs 69.52 crore towards procurement and distribution of Adolescent Health Kits to girl students studying in government schools and colleges. The kits, comprising zipper bag, sanitary napkins and water bottle, would be provided to girl students studying in classes 8th to Intermediate second year (12th standard) in government schools and government colleges under adolescent health programme. The expenditure shall be met from the NHM (National Health Mission) funds, the government said in an order dated November 16, adding that the Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare and Mission Director (NHM) shall take necessary action.

Telangana CM Chandrasekhar Rao to launch 8 new medical colleges on Tuesday

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will launch the commencement of classes in the eight newly-established state government medical colleges on Tuesday. A press release from Rao's office said the medical colleges will be launched online from Pragathi Bhavan, his official residence here.
