Air Force to hold outreach programme for youths on January 24 in Gorakhpur

Air Force Station Gorakhpur will be organising a public outreach programme 'Know Your Forces' on Tuesday as part of the 74th Republic Day celebrations to showcase the might of the IAF and motivate young people to join the defence forces. An official statement issued here said that the aim of the programme is to motivate the youth of Gorakhpur and surrounding areas and familiarise them with the Indian Armed Forces in general and Indian Air Force in particular. Students of more than 25 prominent schools and colleges of the area are being invited to the event. The event will include a static and an aerial display of fighter aircraft, helicopters, and other IAF assets and slithering operation by Special Forces. A slithering operation is an exercise in which troops are dropped from a chopper using a rope at a location where the helicopter cannot land. The visitors will also be briefed about the role and various career opportunities in the Indian Air Force, the statement said.

Noida gets investment intents worth Rs 5.86 trn ahead of investor summit

Gautam Buddh Nagar, which includes industrial cities of Noida and Greater Noida, has received investment proposals worth Rs 5.86 lakh crore since the announcement of Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit in November 2022, according to district officials. The UP Global Investors Summit is scheduled from February 10 in Lucknow and the state government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has set a target of Rs 17 lakh crore investments through the ambitious drive. In the run-up to the GIS, Adityanath had also instructed state officials to hold investment summits at district-level in each of the 75 districts of the state, while road shows are being held in other states and foreign countries as well to attract investments. Gujarat firms sign 22 MoUs entailing investments worth Rs 40,000 cr in UP

A total of 22 corporate entities from Gujarat have promised to invest Rs 40,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh, which would create 50,000 direct as well as indirect employment opportunities, a senior official from the country's most populous state said on Friday. These 22 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) amounting to Rs 40,000 crore were signed during the B2G meetings and roadshows organised by the Yogi Adityanath's government here on Friday, Navneet Sehgal, Additional Chief Secretary in UP's Sports and Youth Welfare department, said here on Friday. The roadshows and meets were organised here in the run up to UP Global Investors Summit to be held in Lucknow between February 10 and 12. Noida investor summit attracts investment proposals worth Rs 11,500 crore

Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar on Friday received investment proposals of about Rs 11,500 crore from around 50 investors at the district-level investors' summit, officials said here. Around 250 investors participated in the summit held at the Indira Kala Kendra in Sector 6 here in presence of UP MSME minister Rakesh Sachan, Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh, District Magistrate Suhas L Yathiraj, Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, among others. "We got investment intents worth Rs 11,502 crore from 50 investors during the Gautam Buddh Nagar investors' summit today, Deputy Commissioner (Industries) Anil Kumar told PTI. According to officials, three investors were even allotted land by the Noida Authority on Friday itself. Uttar Pradesh is gearing up for a Global Investors' Summit (GIS) which is scheduled to be held in Lucknow in February.
