Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday asked who will come from abroad to invest in Uttar Pradesh when even industrialists from India are not visiting the state. The statement was aimed at the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit-2023 (UPGIS-2023). "In the last five years, many investor meets have been organised but their result has been nil. People are asking when industrialists from our country are not coming to UP, then who will think to come here to invest from abroad," he said in a statement issued here. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said the poor and underprivileged remained deprived of benefits of government schemes before 2017 and the previous governments in the state divided the society to salvage "lost political ground" and increase their vote bank. Noida airport: Proposal for second phase land acquisition sent to UP govt

The Gautam Buddh Nagar administration has sent a proposal to the Uttar Pradesh government for the acquisition of land for the second phase of the Noida International Airport in Jewar, officials said Monday. The second phase of the greenfield airport is planned in an area of 1,365 hectares, of which around 1,185 hectares are owned by private persons, including farmers, of six villages, the officials said. The land is being acquired in accordance with the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. The proposal for land acquisition for the second phase of the Noida International Airport has been sent by the district administration to the government.
