Sensex down 134pts; ONGC soars 4%

The Sensex is now down 134 poins at 13,480.

ONGC has surged over 4% (Rs 34) to Rs 850. Ranbaxy has surged 2.6% to Rs 385.

ACC and SBI have slipped over 3% each to Rs 1,026 and Rs 1,227, respectively.

HDFC and Gujarat Ambuja have dropped around 2.5% each to Rs 1,510 and Rs 137, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, Maruti, Tata Motors, Dr.Reddy's, Hindalco and Cipla are down over 2% each.

The market breadth is fairly negative - out of 2,071 stocks traded so far, 1,254 have declined, 746 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
