Portraying a psycho killer for the first time in her career In 'Bharate', actor Rituparna Sengupta avers she is okay with any sequel in future.
Sujoy Ghosh-penned 'Bharate' (Tenant), directed by Anindya Ghosh, dwells on the changeover in the personality of a normal careerist tenant woman, who turns a psycho serial killer when a triangle love story goes haywire.
"My son got scared at my new look, the cold stare and steps and said he won't wish to see me that way again. I guess that is the biggest compliment for an artiste, (but) not for a mom," the 'Tinkanya' actor said about the personality make-over bearing resemblances to the look of the Vidya Balan character in 'Kahaani' as events unfolded during 'Vijaya Dashami' processions.
"I could not imagine anybody but Ritu for essaying such
a riveting role. You can sense she is the one who can portray such contrasting emotions - from a normal, bubbly lady to a part-maniach, part-psycho role and make the sudden change-over so believable," Anindya said.
"Yes, I am all for a sequel. But it is the director's prerogative," Rituparna said about the film where after a mysterious death of a landlord couple, the absconding woman is on the door step of an apartment owner as the credits roll.
"If the audience feedback is enthusiastic, will think about a sequel," Anindya said.
Besides 'Alik Sukh' and 'Muktodhara' protagonist Rituparna, 'Bharate' has Arunima Ghosh and Rajdeep in the roles of a couple.
