Abbas Gokal, the former shipping tycoon, was sentenced to 14 years in prison at the Old Bailey Thursday after his conviction for a $1.2 billion fraud that helped prompt the collapse of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International. The sentence, the largest imposed in the UK for fraud, was accompanied by a confiscation order compelling Gokal to repay
