Meridor Quits

Israeli finance minister Dan Meridor resigned yesterday following disputes with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over foreign currency reforms. Netanyahu had appointed Meridor to be finance chief a year ago under pressure from his Likkud party activists.
