Record Output At Durgapur Plant

The announcement came yesterday in a press release issued by the Alloy Steels Plant.

Liquid steel production registered a 10 per cent growth over the corresponding period last year, at 1,32,266 tonnes.

This is also the best half- yearly performance that it has posted since its inception, achieving 102 per cent of the target.

Production in continuous casting stood at 53,932 tonnes for the first half. This indicates an increase by 11 per cent as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
